Having worked for the British Government for 30 years I decided to retire to the sun and live happily ever after. Relaxing in my hammock with a book in the garden and having my wife (Linda) bring me a glass of cold beer every so often. When she made it clear that she would not retire to become my ‘skivvy’ I had to re-think my retirement plan!!
We came to the south west area of France about three years ago and immediately fell in love with the way of life, the food and wine and the breathtaking scenery. It wasn’t a very difficult choice to up-root and move permanently to the area, the problem was finding our ‘little piece of heaven’. We have definitely found it here at ‘Le Relais du Pech’, we both pinch ourselves every morning as we genuinely cannot believe that all this is ours.
We have both always been people people and with Linda’s hotel and catering experience and my genius behind her we want others to discover for themselves this beautiful area of France. |
